Doris May (Hill) Hoffman of Harriston passed away peacefully at home with family on Friday, November 26th at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Robert Hoffman (2009). Cherished mom of Lisa Hoffman (Scott) of Toronto, and Robbie Hoffman (Lindsay) of Kitchener. The loving nana to Justin, Katelynn, Brooklynn, and grand-dogs (Ellie, Archie, Rusty and Elvis). Dear sister of Shirley Innocente, and Mary Cassolato, both of Guelph. Fondly remembered by nieces (Jean), nephews, and many friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her parents Vernon & Marguerite Hill, and siblings Elmer Hill, Jack Hill, and Marjorie Craig. Doris was a dedicated and devoted mother, provider and wife. The family participated in many activities in the community. Doris worked until retirement at the office of the North-Wellington Co-op, Harriston. She was an avid reader, and loved a good game of crib or euchre, consistently winning the trophy for summer tournaments. Doris enjoyed travel and especially the annual family cottage times. She will be remembered dearly for sharing love and laughter. A special thank you to the Bayshore Palliative Home Care Team for their compassionate, dignified care and support to Lisa and Robbie. A Celebration of Doris’ life for friends and family will be planned for the near future. Memorial donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
