HOFFELE, Barbara Anne (Townsend)

Of Harriston passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in her 78th year. An amazing mom, grandma, great-grandma, and good friend was taken to heaven to join her husband, son, great-grandson, other loved ones, and pets that were waiting with open arms, loving smiles and wagging tails. Wife of the late Frank Hoffele. Mother of Bill Hoffele of Sauble Beach, Bob Hoffele & Shari Shaw of Brantford, Kitty & Mike Runstedler of Kincardine, and Rick & Carol Hoffele of Toronto, and mother-in-law of Roxanne Hoffele of Petawawa. Grandmother of Jason Hoffele, Michelle Hoffele, Tara & Darrell Poworoznyk, Loretta Hoffele, Bobbie Lee & JD Ghuman, Matthew Runstedler & Cheyenne Griffin, Donny & Brittany Runstedler, Ashley & Dale Burns, Sarrah Hoffele & Mike Graham, Robert & Cassie Hoffele, Jamie Hoffele, Scott & Brittney Hoffele, and Victoria Rose Hoffele.  Great-grandmother of Aiden, Lauren, Brandon, Layla, Ella, Amber, Alysha, Damian, Hunter, Alec, Sloan, Lincoln, Olivia, Simran, Jusleen, Presley, Nash, and Charlie.  Sister of Rose and Gail Townsend of Comox, B.C., and Tom Townsend of Hamilton, and sister-in-law of Charles Hoffele of Elmira, Johnnie Hoffele of Fergus, Ina Hoffele of Kitchener, and Linda Hoffele of Kurtzville. Predeceased by her son Tim Hoffele, sister Kim Townsend, and by her grandson Dylan Grady. We all love her and are going to miss her very much, but we know she is no longer in pain and is now at peace. Barb will be missed in her community where she spent her life giving and helping others. We love and cherish you so much, and will hold you close in our hearts, now and forever! Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Monday, October 9th from 1:00 until 4:00pm. A Lion’s Club Memorial Service will follow at 4:00pm. The funeral service will be held from Clifford Community Church on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00am. The service will be livestreamed and the link available on the funeral home website. Interment in Clifford Cemetery. Barb and her family were blessed with extraordinary care, compassion, and expertise by the Listowel Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, its nurses, support staff, and hospice services. They will be forever thankful for Dr. Seary’s care and kindness, and for the unconditional support given to Barb by her dear friends Carol Schaus, Judy Worsley, and Pastors Doug & Elizabeth Bott.
