Hillis, Murray; Peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, on Friday March 14, 2008 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie Hillis of Arthur. Dear father of Murray and Maribel Hillis of Victoria Harbour, Brian Hillis and Julie of Toronto, Dave and Sharyn Hillis of Orangeville and Cindy and Jeff Marshall of Orangeville. Loving grandpa of Kaylee, Sarah, Emily, Aaron, Billie-Lynn (David), Brandon, Matt, Terra, Shane, Luke and Tyler. Cherished great grandfather of Teaha, Brittney, Kyle and Jessica. Survived by sister Beverly Hillis of Orangeville. Predeceased by sister Audrey Le Feuvre. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home 243 George St. , Arthur on Monday March 17, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Tuesday March 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Roy Hillis of Community of Christ Church, Grand Valley officiating. Following the service everyone was invited to the Arthur Legion Branch 226 for a funeral luncheon prepared and served by the legion ladies. Spring interment Union Cemetery, Grand Valley. Remembrances to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
