Obituary

Sadly we announce the passing of Garry James Haw, a long time resident of the Erin area, who died at his home in Erin on August 4th, 2023. Garry will be sadly missed by his sons Jeff Haw and Dan Haw, Dan’s wife, Dayna (Armstrong) and 4 grandchildren, Grace, Evelyn, Josephine and Leo. Garry will be missed by his sister Lynda Goyeau and his niece Leah-Anne Goyeau, Lesley Sims Haw and his many friends in and around the Brampton, Erin and Dundalk areas. Garry was predeceased by his brother Brian and his mother and father, Henrietta and Kenneth Haw. All we’re from Brampton, where he lived until he relocating to Erin, where both of his sons were born. Garry was active in the community, a volunteer fire fighter, coached several minor hockey teams, was a member of the Erin Legion, was an avid fisherman, a fun-time golfer, a great cook, loved his grandchildren and was known by all for his sense of humour and his infectious belly laugh. A private burial will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Erin Legion on August 19th, 2023 from 2 until 5pm.
