Hammond, Margaret Gretta (nee Doran) died surrounded by family at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll, Saturday, January 31, 2011. Loved wife of Wallis. Mother of Betty (Wolfgang Hofer), David (Kerstin), Grant (Dorien Murray), Steven (Nancy), Larry (Jane), Ken (Cindy Shields) and Carol (Jamie Lafreniere). Mentor/friend to Mike Richardson (Irma Jean Bajnok). Pre-deceased by her son, Grant, 1988, and grand-daughter, Krista, 2000. A Jr. Farmer, teacher, member of Banner United Church, U.C.W., Presbyterial and Women’s Institute, Margaret helped organize many community events, led many programs and made many wonderful meals for family and friends. She is survived by 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her extended family in North Ireland. Funeral service was held at Banner United Church.
