October 17, 1941 – February 9, 2019 (Age 77) Following a brief illness, Michael Ward Hamilton of Midland ON, passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2019 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, ON at the age of 77. Mike is survived by his children Mark (Michelle), Amy (Mark) and Cara (Mike) and grandchildren Patrick, Matthew, Natalie and Luke. Beloved husband of the late Jenora Hamilton and predeceased by his parents Ward and Yvonne Hamilton. Fondly remembered by Elizabeth Garrett. He will be missed by his siblings Karen Smith (Jim), Paul Hamilton (Sheila), Debbie Carroll (Ross), Betty McEachern, Andy Hamilton (Debbie), his nieces, nephews and many friends. Mike worked in construction all of his life and was the owner of Montego Construction for over 30 years. Upon retirement, he moved up to Midland to be able spend more time on his Rosborough boat. He quickly made many lasting friendships. Mike enjoyed listening to country music, watching power sports, cooking, eating a good meal with others, travelling to the Bahamas and a wee dram of scotch. Last year, he was fortunate enough to have the health to depart on his dream boat trip to travel from the Carolinas to the Gulf of Mexico. In following Mike’s wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no funeral or visitation. Family and close friends are invited to a celebration of life for Mike on Sunday March 3rd from 2:00-4:00pm in the Erin Legion, 12 Dundas Street E.
