HALL, Julietta “Margaret”

February 3, 1938 - August 13, 2024

We are heartbroken as we share the news that our dear Mother, Julietta “Margaret” Hall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Margaret spent 62 years with her loving husband, Carl Hall. Cherishing a lifetime of memories while mourning her loss are her children Cheryl Lynn (Joseph), Barry, and Greg (Colleen). Margaret was the proud grandmother of Alyssa, Nicholas (Julie), Andrea, Cassidy, Jaelyn, Courtney, Carleigh, Hailey and Kylie, and great grandmother of Emilia. She will be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends. Margaret enjoyed a very successful and rewarding career as a teacher, spanning 40 years. Following her retirement in 1997, she and Carl enjoyed travelling across Canada and to many other countries, and spending quality time with family. She loved reading, history, crafts, card games, and some of her happiest moments were spent in her beautiful garden. Margaret was a dedicated volunteer at the Wellington County Museum and the Drayton Festival Theatre, as well as a proud charter member of the Women’s Institute. She assisted with many functions at Alma United Church over the years, where she and Carl were members, and was honoured to be a lifelong member of the United Church Women. A gathering to celebrate Margaret’s life was held at the Alma Community Centre, on Wednesday, August 21. This was a casual drop in style celebration where guests could join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments. A small graveside service will take place with the family at 11am on Thursday, August 22 at the Elora Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the Alma Community Centre, and are greatly appreciated by her family.
