GRONDIN, Doreen

At Groves Memorial Hospital (Fergus) surrounded by her family, on  Tuesday February 14, 2023, Doreen Grondin of RR 1, Ariss passed away at the age of 85. Doreen was a member of St. Boniface Church, Maryhill. Loving wife to the late Bruce Grondin (1999); dear mother to Janice of Ariss and Michele of Kitchener; sister to the late Shirley  and sister-in-law the late Robert Steffler, and to the late Arnold and his wife the late Dorothy and the late Joyce Hurt, all of Windsor. Doreen is dearly missed by her many furry friends. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and valued friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Josephine (Ernst) Giesler. Doreen was a teacher for 37 years with the Waterloo County Separate School Board and then ran a booth at St. Jacob’s Farmer’s Market for antiques and reproductions. Friends were called at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener on  Monday, February 20th, 2023 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Prayers were said at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 21, 2023  at 10:15am, followed by a funeral mass at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill at 11:00am, with Father Peter Meyer officiating. Interment will be at Parkview cemetery, Waterloo. Reception to follow at Maryhill Community Center.
