GRIFFITHS, Roy Frederick; Passed away peacefully with family at Groves Memorial Hospital on July 30th, 2007. He was 80 years old. Dad has rejoined the love of his life Ruthie in heaven. He will be so dearly missed by his children Don Griffiths and his wife Marilyn of Fergus, Randy Griffiths and his wife Lynn of Arthur, Jo-Anne and her husband Steve Scarrow of Fergus, Patricia and her husband James Stewart of Rockwood, David Griffiths and his wife Susan of Ayton, and Adrienne and her husband Pierre Miller of Rockwood. Thoughtful and funny grandpa of Dana and Kyle Griffiths; Brandon, Ascacia, Sierra and Lace Griffiths; Kurtis, Todd and Brock Scarrow; Hayley, Chloe and Avery Stewart; Meg, Ben, Eden and Dawson Griffiths; Rowan, Griffin, Sam and Ava Miller. Loving brother of Louise (Griffiths) Williams and her husband Harry of Newmarket. Predeceased by his brother Glyn Griffiths of Collingwood and baby brother Trevor, who died in infancy. Dear uncle of 17 nephews and nieces. Roy was born to his parents, Lillian and Bert (Griffiths) in Mimico, Ontario and weighed a gigantic 15 pounds on June 15th, 1927. He grew up in and around Toronto in the Depression and often told stories of the challenges faced by his family in the era.
