It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Debra Goucher. She passed away from sudden illness in her apartment on June 23rd, 2023. Debra was beloved Mother of Brooke and Laura, and loving Grandma (Shosho) to Macheo, Evangeline, Calianna, and Arrow. Debra will be missed by sons-in-laws, Timothy and Michael. Siblings, Diane, Darlene, and Terry, will remember Debra with love. Mom will be remembered for her love of plants, the natural world, and pursuit of truth. She searched for beauty and understanding in the garden and in everyday moments. She taught with hands in the soil. Debra’s heart was most fulfilled during her years in Nova Scotia, and we will be forever grateful for the years she raised us there. Debra will be missed the most by her daughter Laura and grandsons in quiet moments, walking through the tree park trails and by the river. The loss of her joyful smile and wicked sense of humour will leave a hole that cannot be filled. Her daughter Brooke, will hear the echo of Debra’s voice cheering her on from the side of the water, forever her most passionate fan. We will miss you forever, Mom, and we will be listening for you in our hearts.
