born April 3, 1948 in Dunnville, Ontario to Harold and Dorothy Hicks, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2020 at the age of 72. Survived by her brothers Dale (Diane), Charles (Helen), sister in law Roxie, daughter Dominique and her son Dmitri (Linda), her grandchildren Julie, Jessica and Joshua. Predeceased by her sister Melonie Hicks and brother Jack Hicks (Roxie). Suzanne enjoyed 47 years of marriage to her late husband Murray Goold. Together, during Murray’s working career they enjoyed travelling to different places around the world. She worked earlier in her life at Miracle Food Mart as a cashier and later at the Royal Bank in Elmira. Her family and friends will remember her for her love of gardening and appreciation for flowers, avid reading, creative story telling, as she was a member of toast masters. She loved to laugh. She was a good friend to many and had a good listening ear. Suzanne suffered all her life with severe depression and that made her extra sensitive to those who were suffering. In the last phase of her life she cultivated a close relationship with her grandchildren who grew to love her and we will all greatly miss her colourful personality she had in the end. There will be a small private visitation and funeral, by invitation only due to COVID rules, at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus.
