Giraldi, Luigi (Lou); Went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2010 in his 59th year. During his long struggle with cancer, there were many opportunities to see evidences of God’s grace. Lou will be deeply missed by his wife Sheila, children Andrea and her husband Jonathan Patterson, Jonathan, Sarah, Lisa and grandaughter Allegra. Survived by his mother Cesira, sisters Sarah (Joe), Adriana (Mario), brother Marcello (Rose Anne) and sister-in-law Maria. Predeceased by his father Vincenzo and brother Raffaele. Lou’s teaching career spanned Toronto, Fergus and Guelph before he retired from the Upper Grand District School Board in 2005. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Lund and Shelley Lillie of the Upper Grand Family Health Team, for their constant care and support during these years. Family will receive friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Thursday, October 28th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service for Lou will be held at The Bethel Baptist Church, 675 Victoria Terrace, Fergus on Friday, October 29th, 2010 at 1pm.
