George, Jean; It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our Queen Mom, Jean George, on October 7th, 2013 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, after a brief illness. Survived by her children Allan (Pat), Lloyd (Ruth), Cathleen (Bairie), Ron (Debbie), Marion (Bruce) and Linda (Gord). She leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by her 2 brothers. Predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Arthur. Also predeceased by her son James and grandsons Little Vince and Josh, as well as 2 brothers. Jean will be remembered by many nieces and nephews and other family members. Jean will also be missed by her many friends and neighbours, especially her friends at the Victoria Park Seniors Center. Her friendly smile, that she gave so freely to many, and her kind and easy ways will be missed by all of us. Friends and family may call in for visitation at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus on Friday, October 11th, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A funeral service for Jean will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 12th at 10:30am. Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Mental Health Association, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
