Foster, Shirley “Sammie” – Of Guelph, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in her 58th year. Loved mother of David (Amanda) and Melinda. Loving grandma of Braeden and Gareth, Angel, Lance and Lawrence. Great grandma of Amythea. Dear sister of Doug (Marilyn), Nancy (Werner) Dorak and Gord (Crystal). Predeceased by her parents David and Octavia Swackhammer, her partner Rick, her brother Gary and sister Mary. Sammie will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Sammie worked at the University of Guelph. She returned to school for upgrading, and received not only her Grade 12 Diploma but also her RNA. She worked for nursing homes prior to declining health. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 5-8pm. A private service will be held in the spring at Rockwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Lupus Ontario, 2900 John St. Suite 301, Markham L3R 5G3 would be appreciated.
