Fortin, Gordon George; Born on November 29, 1934 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to George Lionel (Leo) and Elsie Fortin. Passed away peacefully at Guelph Hospice on November 7, 2010. Left to mourn their loss is his daughter, Michelle Fortin, Windsor Ont. and sister Elaine Warren of Timmins. Predeceased by one sister Marnie and brother-in-law Gordon Warren. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Former spouse of Mary Etta (Hunter) Enns of Windsor and Marion (Giesel) Fortin of Waterloo, Ont. Paramount in Gord’s life was his love of music and animals and maintaining his sense of humour to the end. Gord has donated his body to the University of Western, Ont. for research; his cremated remains will be interred in Elora Cemetery at a later date. When I come to the end of the road, and the sun is set for me. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not too much and not with your head held low. Remember the joy and laughter we shared and lovingly let me go.
