Of Drayton passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the age of 64. Beloved son of the late Jack and Joan Ford. Dear brother of the late Sandra Ford (1982), Robert Ford and his wife Charito of Kingston, the late Kevin Ford (1970), Bonnie and her husband Rick Smith of Brussels, Glen Ford of Guelph and Kayla Ford and Amid Saadat of Calgary. Uncle of Dustin and Anne Ford, Mariah and Cole Clifford, Jessica Ford and the late Andrew in infancy. Great uncle of Estelle and Levi. Nephew of Dave Robinson and Dorey Steeles. John will be fondly remembered by his Drayton Foodland Family where he worked for 36 years and all of the pen pals he had near and far. John would greet all of the regular customers by name, his memory was remarkable and would wish everyone happy birthday or happy anniversary. He would reach so many more people than just in Drayton, he had more than 100 pen pals that are all over the world, these letters were all hand written. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A Celebration was held in the Drayton Arena Complex on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00am followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation, MRI Fund would be appreciated by the family.
