It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Victor James Folliott on Friday April 21, 2023, due to complications following a seizure, surrounded by love and family. Vic will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends. He was the proud father of Kim (Matt), Shannon, Cheralin (Owen), and Brad (Vicki). He was a loving husband to his late wife, Catherine, and the absolute best Grandpa to Zachary, Freya and Grace. Vic will be missed by so many, including his family, his loving partner Glenda, wonderful friends, many of whom are from the radio community he dedicated his career to, the Rotary Club, and the various arts and culture programs he was involved with for many years. Vic grew up in Richmond Hill with his parents and brother Larry. He loved reminiscing about the family’s Summit View Gardens restaurant. He played football and was a high school track and field star, and later a coach for his son’s baseball team. Vic loved life. He walked with a smile and warmth in his eyes felt by everyone he met. He loved to support his community and thoroughly enjoyed attending theatre, festivals and live music. Vic was genuine in all he did. Anyone who crossed paths with him enjoyed his unwavering kindness and support in their lives. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
