After a brief and courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), it is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Henk Follings on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the age of 64 years. Best friend and loving husband of Betsie (Jansen) Follings. Cherished father of Joey (Nicole), Mike (Mary Lee), Danny (Denise) and Kimberly (James). Adored Opa to Sadie, Rebekka; Skylar, Danika, Ryker; Damien, Colton, Caleb; and Morgan. Remembered by Denver and Lilly. Survived by Nellie (Weil) Bons, Koos (Marian) Follings, Ciel Kamps, Pieter (Marieke) Follings, Melchior (Ingrid) Follings and Diana Follings all of Holland. Henk will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Holland. Predeceased by his parents Melchior and Hendrina Follings, and brother-in-law Theo Kamps. Cremation has taken place. A visitation to celebrate Henk’s life will be held from 11am – 3pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Donations to the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family and may be made through the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Barnswallow Place, with a special thank you to Staci, Sara M., Jenna, Tammy M. and Trena for their care and compassion of Henk.
