FOLLETT, Douglas. Died October 21, 2016 at Headwater Health care Centre, Orangeville from injuries sustained during a recent fall. Douglas is survived by his wife and soul mate Pauline, his four-legged buddy Wade and his sister Joyce. Douglas has four children from a previous marriage: Deirdre (Kim) of British Columbia, Peter of India, Steven (Kaarina) of British Columbia, Meg (Eddie) of Toronto, their children and two great-grandchildren. Douglas graduated from McGill University 1947 in Electrical Engineering. His final employment was as President of a company engaged in Urban Transit, Planning, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing and Installation. His organization and management of technical operations, ability to motivate an organization to identify its objectives and to meet them on-time and within cost-targets was exceptional. The small town atmosphere of Erin Village was his chosen location where he served on Village Council for two sessions. He spent many of his retirement hours meticulously restoring antique clock movements and their cases. At Douglas’s request, a remembrance gathering will be held in the spring 2017.
