Audrey Pramsma immigrated to Canada with her family, from Holland, to Hamilton, Ontario in 1954. As a teenager she worked various jobs including as a nanny for a physician during the summer. As a young adult she completed her Registered Nurse Assistant program and nursed in Hamilton and later in Palmerston Hospitals. She met Arend Flinkert at a church young peoples function. They were engaged and married in 1961. As a city girl Audrey embraced her role on the Flinkert Farms team. She was responsible for finances, all the book work and payroll. She was the farm nurse and the main source to get, do or purchase what was needed to keep a large dairy operation going. Audrey managed to balance her busy farm duties with raising and nurturing her four children. A smart, well read, kind and thoughtful woman, Audrey derived strength from her faith. She was a life long member of the Reformed Church.
