Fleming, Violet Sophia; Went home to be with her heavenly family, peacefully at Walnut Grove in the Wellington Terrace, Fergus on January 10, 2010. Violet was in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Sandy (June 15, 1989). Most loving mother to Susan (Paul) Mason and the late Jim Fleming (Feb 16, 2004). Cherished by her 5 grandchildren Tim (Cheryl) Heseltine, Terry (Kendra) Heseltine, Wendi Melitzer, Jason (Melissa) Fleming and Leeann (Carl) Elms. Loved by 8 great grandchildren Jenna, Nicole, Mason, JoAnn, Samantha, Bradyn, Maddi and Sandy. Mom also adored and cherished her visits from her 5 great great grandchildren Jesse, Brody, Rylee, Alexandria and Noah. Violet will be sadly missed by her sister Roxie Fitzpatrick and her niece Vera Ovens. Mom dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her friends will always cherish the many memories of her warm and gentle ways. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. FERGUS from 11-1pm on Thursday, January 14th, 2010. Funeral service will be held at 1pm following visitation in the Funeral Home Chapel . In lieu of flowers, the family have requested that memorial donations be directed to The MS Society or Groves Memorial Hospital. Cards are available at the funeral home.
