FISK, Jane (nee Cox)

of Hanover passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, February 8, 2019, with her family by her side at the Hanover Hospital. Jane was pre-deceased by her parents Francis (nee Mallett) and Eric Cox. She will be dearly missed by partner Doug Cameron of Wingham, and also her four children and their families: Timothy Fisk and Kirsty Edwards of Ottawa, Melissa Fisk and Justin Beharry of Cambridge, Tyler and Jocelyn Fisk of Drayton, and Brittany Fisk and Colin Amos of Oakville, along with her 9 beautiful grandchildren. Twin sister of Judy Schieck (nee Cox) of Paris, and also sister to Margie (nee Shannon) and Jim Cox of Cambridge. We are all going to miss her great, mischievous sense of humour, her infectiously big smile, and her intense blue eyes. She fought a courageous fight, right up to the end, always smiling, joking and laughing with those around her. She also took great satisfaction over her last few days sharing some stories from her memory banks, with anyone that would listen, about her children’s challenges or activities during their times growing up at the family home. She’ll be sadly missed, as will her stories. A celebration of life will be hosted at the Harrison Legion in the Maple Leaf room, on Saturday, April 27th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Inurnment in the spring in Wingham cemetery. Donations in her honour may be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
