FINLAYSON, Marilyn Gaye (McCullough)

Of Palmerston passed away peacefully at the Royal Terrace Nursing Home, Palmerston, surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert John Finlayson “Bob” (2016) for 61 years. Dear mother of Lisa and John Levstik of Sauble Beach, John and Doreen Finlayson of Kitchener and the late Isabel Lynn and Sybil Jane both in infancy. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Quilty of Pembroke, Jennifer Quilty of St. Catherines, Liana Quilty (Andrew) of Waterloo, Rob Quilty (Juliane) of Dundas, Amanda Finlayson (Scott) of London, Sam Finlayson (Emily) of London and Ben Finlayson (Sara) of Kitchener. Loving great grandma (Nana) of Leah, Madelyn, Amelia, Emerson and Reid. Survived by her brother Larry (Roslyn) of Arizona and sister-in-law Isabel Dickson of Scarborough. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents James Clifford and Sybil McCullough and her brother Rev. J. Ronald McCullough. To honour Marilyn’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the James Street United Church, Palmerston on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10:30am to 11:15 followed by a Memorial Service of Remembrance at 11:30am. As expressions of sympathy donations to The Palmerston Lions Heritage Park (cheques payable to the Town of Minto for tax receipt) or the James Street United Church would be appreciated by the family.
