1951-2024 Peggy is predeceased by her parents, Gene Ferguson (Louttit) and Joseph Ferguson. Survived by sisters Deanna Gordon, Susan Gunn (Gord) and Mary Cass (Trevor) as well as her niece Sarah Gunn (Tom McCaulay) and nephew’s David Gordon and Jeremy Gunn (Alison), and their children Charlie and Jackson. We are sad today to announce the peaceful passing away of the delightful Peggy Ann Ferguson, our wonderful sister, the charming and generous friend to everyone lucky enough to share her life of 73 years. Peggy always loved the people she met. Her friends and so many adoring English-language students from many happy years teaching at Mohawk College all fell under her bright spell. She gave herself to everyone and will be known and remembered always for her spirit of life, her strength against the tides of fortune and forever for the gift of herself with the days of her life and her great heart. And so we say goodbye with love and thank you forever for the life you shared with us. There will be a graveside service honouring her life, being held at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus, on September 20th at 1pm. Following the graveside service, guests are invited to join the family at 45 Colborne Street in Elora for a time of fellowship and refreshments. The family has requested that donations be directed towards the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society (ONTARIO SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS). Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus.
