Ferguson, Harry B.; Harry’s long struggle with Alzheimer’s came to an end at the Wellington Terrace on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Harry was the loving husband and best friend of Betty for 55 years. He was the proud and devoted father of Bruce of Guelph, Linda & Donald Bailey of R.R.#4 Rockwood and Jeffrey of Elora. He was special poppa to 3 beautiful grandaughters, Megan, Jennifer and Allison Bailey. Harry was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Margaret Ferguson and brother Joseph. He is survived by Gene Ferguson of Belwood, David & Sheila Ross of Guelph and their families. He loved his family and also loved the town of Fergus where he was a life long resident, serving on Municipal Council, County Council and Centre Wellington Township Council for 22 years. During this time he made many friends. Visitation will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 3 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, corner of Henderson & Smith Streets in Elora, on Friday, November 6 at 2pm. Interment to be held at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Wellington Terrace or a charity of choice, cards available at the Funeral Home.
