England, Alanna (Corbett); It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alanna England on July 22, 2011. She passed away peacefully in her home with her daughter Laurie and son-in-law Don Boyd by her side. Alanna spent her last weeks the same way as she spent her life; enjoying time with her loved ones, listening to her favourite music and sitting next to her furry companions. Alanna is pre-deceased by her parents, Orton and Eileen Corbett. She will be greatly missed by her partner, Ted England, her siblings Shirley Dempster, Sylvia Walker, and Paul and Sandy Corbett, her children Lee and Andrea Atkinson, Don and Laurie Boyd, and Iris Atkinson, grandchildren Crystal and Jeanie Boyd-Stofleth, April Boyd and Matt Teusink, Steven Cherry, Alena Cherry, Guthrie and Ingrid Atkinson, as well as her great grandchildren. Resting at the Thomson Funeral Home. Visitation took place Wednesday, July 27 2011, from 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service took place Thursday, July 28, 2011, at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Belsyde Cemetery. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children or The Pet Safe Program.
