Ellis, Gordon Aubrey Colin; born January 31, 1942 in Towcester, Northamptonshire, England passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on April 16, 2013. From a farm background Colin emigrated to Canada in early 1959. He spent his working life on farms in Saskatchewan and Alberta. He was equally adept with livestock and the largest farm machinery. Colin retired to Vernon, B.C. over 15 years ago. His kindly and helpful manner endeared him to many. A tall, strong man he spent his summers in the mountains enjoying nature and wild life. His last days were spent at the Vernon Hospice. On Sunday, April 21, 2013 about 20 of his friends gathered at the Hospice for a time of thanksgiving to God for the life of Colin and a sharing of memories led by his cousin Peter Ellis and wife Ursula of Fergus, Ontario. Colin’s ashes will be sprinkled in the mountains where he spent so many happy summers.
