ELLIOTT, Alan Martin of Arthur passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Susan (Friesen) Elliott and the late Joyce (Savery) Elliott (1984). Dear father of the late Larry William Leonard Elliott (2014) and his wife the late Ann Elliott (2015), Jane Elizabeth and Albert Sy Chiew of Thunder Bay, Mary-Lynn Elaine Elliott of Guelph, the late Paul Alan Elliott (2015). Cherished grandfather of Lee Elliott of B.C.; Dr. Kimberly Chiew of Denver Colorado, Ashley Chiew of Thunder Bay; Andrew and Bailey Elliott of Guelph; Alec Elliott of Mount Forest. Step grandfather of Debbie Clausing, Richard Bradbury, Susan Bradbury and Denise and Warren Donald. Great grandfather and great great grandfather of many. Beloved stepfather to Daniel Rebekah, Karl, Patsy, Laroy and Laurie. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alan was passionate about selling seeds, woodworking and window construction, travelling, euchre and Scrabble. In his earlier years he was a successful farmer. Alan also was active in community service work, involved with the Optomist Club, Legion and as a 4-H Club Leader. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. Rev Shirl Christian conducted the Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment in Greenfield Cemetery.
