Dunn, Hazel; Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Fergus on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Caven Dunn (1981). Predeceased by her son, Walter Norman Dunn (1961) and her brothers Russel, Lorne and Lesley. Loving grandmother of Walter “Skip” Leatham of London, ON and great grandmother of Marlo and Minnie of London, ON. Dear aunt of Thomas Peterson (Carole) of Hagersville, ON, Mary Meredith of London, ON, and the late David Peterson (Linda). Fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Lois Leatham (Bala), Andrea Shore and her children James, John and Brianne, Jim Meredith, and many other family and friends. Hazel was a graduate of the Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1933 and was the Assistant Superintendent of the Infants Home in Hamilton until she married Caven Dunn in 1942. Hazel was the manager of Stedman’s of Fergus for 26 years. She was also a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Resting at the Thomson Funeral Home (160 St. David Street N., Fergus, 519-843-2380). Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2 from 1-2pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2pm.
