Duffield, Helen Margaret (nee Allan); Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Sunday, July 27, 2014, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer (Scotty) Duffield (1987). Loved mother of Jim Duffield and his wife Catherine of Kitchener, Lindsay Duffield and his wife Ruth of Unionville, and Ian Duffield and his wife Deb of Oakville. Loving and proud grandmother to Andrew, Jordan, Christian, Noah, Leah, Tara and Kristen. Great grandmother to Crista. Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Edna Allan, brother Stewart Allan, and daughter-in-law Kathy. Helen was a proud resident of Oustic for many years, where Helen and Scotty owned and operated the general store and gas station. A special thank you to Helen’s best friend, Cindi Rabstein, for all of her care and support during Helen’s illness. Helen was a lifelong member of Barrie Hill United Church and a very active member of the Women’s Institute. Helen loved a great conversation, whether about family, friends, events in the community, politics, or the Blue Jays. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday (2-4 & 7-9 pm). Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 11 am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
