Dougherty, Margaret Ann (Peggy); Passed away peacefully in her sleep following a battle with cancer with her family by her side on Sat Sept 6th, 2014 at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus. Peggy Dougherty (nee Lajeunesse) of Elora in her 70th year, beloved wife and best friend of David. Loving mother to Shannon (Mark) Heine of Elora, Kilby Dougherty (James Ward) of Toronto, and Dana (Kerry) Reinke of Oakville. Dearly loved grandmother of Taylor, Kaylyn, Charlotte, Carson and Peyton. Loved sister of Gary (Rita) Lajeunesse of Halifax and Karen (Huntly) Chapman of Dallas, Texas. Peggy is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and other family members. The family received their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME 37 CHURCH ST., ELORA. on Tuesday Sept 9th, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A Mass of Celebration was held at the St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes Street, Elora on Wed Sept 10th at 11:30 A.M. followed by interment at the St Mary’s-St Joseph’s Cemetery in Elora. Parish prayers were said at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:30 P.M. Remembrances to the Groves Memorial Hospital or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
