DORSCHT, Harold Alexander February 7, 1930 – October 17, 2018 Harold passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital on October 17, 2018, beloved husband of Jessie Dorscht (nee Friesen) of Elora for over 62 years.  Loving father to Karen (Anthony) Mungal from Toronto and Pamela (Todd) Roth and grandson Dylan Roth from Baden. Son of the late Alan & Louisa (Helm) Dorscht, Harold was born at home on the family farm in Berlets Corner, Ontario. During WWII he was managing the family farm. There he realized the virtue of hard honest labour. “Do it right the first time”. During the ensuing years, Harold worked at Amy Fuels and in 1965 was employed by the University of Waterloo. Hired as a truck driver, it wasn’t long before he became the Commissary Manager in the food services area until he retired in 1987. He loved the outdoors, working in his gardens and most of all spending time with his family. There was always lots of music in his home. The last few years, living at Station Square from 2002 – June 2018, he loved playing Euchre with his buddies which was very important and he was coherent to the end. He died of age related illnesses. The family wishes to thank Dr. Oh, Dr. Brown and LHIN for their caring kindness. Also to the Heritage River Retirement Home in Elora for their support. A private family service has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Groves Memorial Hospital Building Fund in Fergus, Ontario.  www.grahamgiddyfh.com
