Of Palmerston passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Friday, August 18, 2023 in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Al Dobson for 54 years. Loving mother of Bill and Lisa Dobson, the late Jamie Dobson (2019) and his wife the late Cindy (Carmody) Dobson (2019), and Mike and Beth Dobson all of Palmerston. Cherished grandmother of Cyrus, Jacob, Kaleigh, Zack, Chloe, Isaac, Carter and Abby. Sister of Douglas and Marcy Bremner, Murray and Pat Bremner, Bonnie Bremner and Peter Hamberger, Robert and Val Bremner, Barry Bremner and Rosalind Schulist, Jerry and Vicky Bremner, June Bremner and Shawn Bremner and Christi Hunter. Sister-in-law of Ruth and Wayne Ward, Donna and Roger Smith, Jim and Louis Dobson, Darlene and Kevin Nichol and Norm Dobson. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Fran Bremner and brother Scottie Bremner. Barb was an active member of the Palmerston Curling Club for 40 years and Chesley Snowmobile Club for 20 years. To honour Barb’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 6 to 8pm and on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A Memorial Service of remembrance was held in the James Street United Church, Palmerston on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00am. Private family interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation or the Palmerston Curling Club would be appreciated by the family.
