DeVries, Janet (Jantje); With thankfulness and praise to God, we announce that Janet (Jantje) DeVries (nee:Hoeksema) was called home on Monday, May 19 2014. Predeceased by her loving husband Willem Hendrik DeVries (1997), 4 sisters in the Netherlands and two infant daughters and her daughter-in-law Elly. Survived by her children Bill of Fergus, Warn and Jenny of Smithers BC, Lee and Jake Bredenhof of Cloverdale BC, Vic of Wellesley ON, Dorothy and John Bysterveld of Barrhead AB, Dinah and Conrad Vander Horst of Langley BC, Rob and Marian of Belwood ON and Monica and Nick VanLuik of Fenwick ON. As well as Janet’s brother Wiecher and wife Annie Hoeksema of Smithville, ON. Janet was also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation was held at the Canadian Reformed Church, 6674 Wellington Road #7, Elora from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Thursday May 22. The funeral service was held at the church on Friday May 23 at 1:30pm followed by refreshments held in the church basement.
