Grandmother of Erika and Mathew Clark, Nick DeKoning and Ashley Schouten all of British Columbia, Joanna and Joel Cross of New Hamburg, Abigail Wideman and partner Chris Silak of Manitoba, Nathan and Ariana Wideman of British Columbia, Sarah and Justin Vyn of Texas, Mark and Sera DeKoning of British Columbia, Kyle and Lindsay DeKoning of Troy, Brent and Kassandra DeKoning of Moorefield, Jason and Jessica Stevens of Elmira, Rebecca and Tim Staken of Elmira, Mike and Elaine Stevens of Elmira, Amy and Will Vanderlaan of West Montrose, Ben and Marie Stevens of Guelph, Jake DeKoning of Chicago, Mandy DeKoning of Kitchener, Daniel DeKoning of Wallenstein and his fiancé Jade MacPherson of Elmira. Dear Great Grandmother of 35 great grandchildren. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Roelof and Annie Hoekman. Dear sister of the late Bill and Mettie Hoekman, the late Femmie and Wyn VanderSchee, the late Tom and survived by his wife Grace Hoekman and Helen and Martin Boomsma and Mans and Rose Hoekman. The family will receive friends at the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Pastor Phil DesJardine will conduct the Funeral Service in the Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 11:00am. Private family interment in Palmerston Cemetery prior to the service. As expressions of sympathy donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
