Dann, Alice; formerly of Harriston – at Palmerston & District Hospital on Friday, December 27, 2013 in her 90th year. Alice was the wife of the late Delos Dann and mother of Delos Dann Jr. of Cananadaigua, NY, David Dann and his wife Patricia of South Bend, Indiana, Douglas Dann and his wife Hilke of Elmira, Nancy Dann of Rochester, NY, Marilyn Arman and her husband Michael of Honeoye Falls, NY, Duane Dann and his wife Valonda of Houston, Texas, and Daryl Dann and his wife Catherine of Palmerston. Remembered by her grandchildren Heather and Aaron Perkins, Jeff and Christy Dann, Darren and Nicole Dann, Carolyn Dann, Cheryl and Timothy Dann-Barrick, Laurie and Jeff Hintz, Lisa and Frank Casper, Lindsey and Brad Dietrich, Stacy Dann, Allison Wills and Geffrey Stopper, Adam and Rachel Wills, Micah Moffett, Matthew and Jill Dann, Tim and Veronique Dann, and Steve Dann and his fiance Emma Wilts; and by her great-grandchildren Ryan Dann, Rachel Dann, Madison Hintz, Tyler Hintz, Carson Hintz, Meghan Dietrich, Sophia Dietrich, Jacob Perkins, Lincoln Perkins, Skylar Dann, Treyton Dann, Makenna Fox, Kaden Sapp, Hunter Casper, Carter Casper, Riley Casper, Grayson Dann, Hudson Dann and Joshua Wilts. Sister of Helen Knott of Athens, Penn., and Pauline Allen of Owego, NY. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Dann, infant daughters Linda Kaye and Maureen Faye, sisters Mary Cardwell, Julia Hogan, Rose Bender and Sophie Ennis and brothers William Murray Jr., Michael Murray and Harry Murray. Alice and her husband Delos were life-time farmers, beginning their farming operation in 1945 near Horseheads, NY where they developed a herd of Registered Holstein cattle. In 1984 the farm operation and herd was relocated to the Harriston area, and is still operated by the Dann family. Alice was involved in various local organizations including the Cotswold United Church and the Teviotdale Women’s Institute. Friends called at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service was held from Harriston United Church on Tuesday, December 31 at 11:00 Interment in Palmerston Cemetery.
