We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful, sudden passing of Bertha Cutting on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at CKHA-Chatham Campus. She had recently celebrated her 90th birthday, born January 17, 1929 in Palmerston, Ontario. Bertha was the daughter of the late Roy and Cora (Henderson) Bridge. Beloved wife of the late Ken Cutting (1999). Loving sister-in-law of Margaret Bridge of Fergus. Dear aunt of Bonnie and Bob Mather, Lloyd Black, Heather and Rev. David Jack, John and Lori Bridge, Jim and Cindy Bridge, Martyn and Ann Marie Bridge and Glenn and Vivienne Bridge. Special great aunt to Jennifer and Brian (Evy & Beckett), Greg, Caitlin, Linsey, Joanne, Jeff, Jordan, Tyler, Courteney, Caroline, Ellen, Bill, Richelle, Adam, Lesley, Andrew and several great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, Clayton Bridge and Ellwood (Bev) Bridge and Evelyn (Russ) Black. Bertha was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church. She worked her entire career with the CIBC in Palmerston, Strathroy and Chatham retiring after 44 years. Bertha and Ken enjoyed many trips in their RV. She enjoyed many bus trips, card games and outings with her many close friends. Bertha will be fondly remembered for always having a song to share. The family received friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. The Funeral Service was held at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 1:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to service time. There will be an interment at a later date in Palmerston Cemetery, Palmerston, ON.
