CONNORS, Karen (Johnson) – With heavy hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of Karen on September 24, 2017, at the age of 58, with her family by her side. Karen will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend of 36 years, Brian, and their children, Scott (Jessica), Jennifer (Andrew), Kelly (Gregory) and Nicole. She will be forever missed by her nine grandchildren: Brooke, Dylan, Owen, Riley, Tyla, Aiden, Vanessa, Hailey and Ava, who were all lucky enough to receive a lifetime of love from her. She will also be missed by her mother, Florence Johnson and sister, Brenda Hendy as well as her father in law, Jim Connors. Karen was predeceased by her father, Albert Johnson and her mother in law, Lorraine Connors. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. Born and raised in Guelph, Karen spent her years caring for children; her own, many others, and in recent years her grandchildren. Karen treated every child in her care as if they were her own. Their families will be forever grateful for her guidance and love. Karen will be remembered for her love of baseball, hockey, fresh flowers, throw pillows and Sunday dinners. She will also be remembered for her kind heart and dedication to her family and friends, always placing their needs in front of her own. In lieu of flowers, Karen asks that you make a special effort to have dinner with your family, hug your child, phone a friend, do something you love, or take a chance. Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated. A tree will be dedicated to Karen at the University of Guelph Arboretum. A private celebration of life will occur at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051 or www.wallcustance.com. The Connors family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the many caring and supportive health care professionals who assisted Karen along her journey. We would especially like to recognize Dr. Hood, Laura, the Guelph Chemo staff and Hospice Wellington for their exceptional care.
