Colwill, Adelle; peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on July 25, 2012 in her 95th year. Adelle was the youngest of 7 and the last surviving child of former East Garafaxa Reeve the late Robert Gillespie and his wife Sarah (nee Brown). Lovingly remembered and survived by her children, Sadie (Maurice) Oesch, Shirley Freeborn, Donna Langdon (Ken Brohman), John Hayes, Elaine Buchanan (Gary Coutts), 23 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her late husbands, Clifford Colwill and George Hayes, her son Robert (Bob) Hayes, her daughter Betty Hellyer, her son-in-law Albert (Ab) Hellyer, one grandson, one granddaughter, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. A visitation was held at The BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Sunday, July 29th, 2012 from 1-4pm. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 30th at Knox Preston Presbyterian Church, 132 Argyle Street North, Cambridge at 1pm. Interment followed at Greenfield Cemetery in Arthur. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by the family.
