Collins, Francis (Frank) Joseph; June 30, 1918- November 8, 2007, Passed away suddenly at his home in Pine Meadows, Belwood, Ontario on November 8, 2007. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie (Lewis), daughters Donna (Fred) Corbett, Susan (Jim) Slimmon and Karen (Andy) Bryson, grandchildren Jeannette (Kris) Paule and Frances Corbett, Patrick (Eloisa) Slimmon and Laura Slimmon, Scot and Kirsty Bryson and great-grandson Hayden Slimmon. Cherished as a kind and caring husband and father and an intelligent and independent man with a wonderful sense of humour. During the war he served in No. 4 Air Observer’s School of the Commonwealth Air Training in London, Ontario and later retired after 25 years as a claims adjuster for INA. He spent fun-filled summers at Port Severn and warm and happy winters in Florida. A Memorial Service celebrating Frank’s life was held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on November 12, 2007 at 2 pm. Visitation was one hour prior to service time.
