Lawrence Clark, unexpectedly and suddenly lost his life on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in a tragic workplace accident. Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather (AKA Booba, Papa), brother, uncle, and friend. Survived by his soul mate and wife of 45 years, Lorraine; cherished daughters, Meghan (Ben), Ashley (Shane) and Samantha; his 6 grandchildren and pride and joy, Lucy, Elliott, Charlie, Spencer, Alfie and Beckett; his sisters and brother, Barb (Barry), Cecil (Jackie), Elaine (Michael) and Loretta (Jimmy); his many nieces and nephews, close friends, neighbours, coworkers, and last but not least, his furry family, Harvey and Maddie. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Ethel Clark, his in-laws, Jim and Amy Kelly and his nieces, Amanda Joore and Melissa Ciufo; his beloved dogs, Angel, Max, Dudley, Emma, Gus, and Oliver. Lawrence grew up as the youngest of 5 children in Mississauga, Ontario. For 30 years of Lawrence’s career, he worked in the tool steel industry and proudly worked his way to a successful role as Canadian Sales Manager. Following his career in the tool steel industry, he pursued entrepreneurship, successfully building and operating Garage Enhancements Ltd. for 14 years. After selling his business in 2021 and retiring, he found joy in working part time at local hardware stores. He was determined and ambitious in all pursuits and was devoted to his customers. Lawrence and Lorraine met when they were 15 and 16 years old and have been inseparable in raising their three daughters and creating a wonderful life dedicated to family. Lawrence had a ‘larger than life’ personality, continuously cracking jokes and bringing laughter to everyone who knew him. He was happiest taking care of family and friends, making incredible food, hosting such memorable dinners and gatherings. He is remembered as being supportive, loyal, down to earth, affectionate, generous, sensitive, hardworking, comical, and helpful. Lawrence was an incredible family man. His love and dedication to his wife, Lorraine, and his entire family and friends will be irreplaceable. Lawrence’s presence will be with all of those he has left behind. Services was held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus, Ontario. Visitation was held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 1:00pm.
