My Unsung Hero
Faithful, kind, generous, thoughtful, giving, loving, supportive, considerate, and charitable are all words that describe my Grandmother, Barb. My Gramma is 69 years old and she was born in Stratford, Ont.
Gramma gives money to family and friends, even though she doesn’t have much money. She earns a minute amount of money from her pension. She buys food for people who can’t afford food. Gramma gives people money to pay for their bills, because they don’t have enough money to pay them.
Gramma is charitable because she supports and helps churches and charities. She bakes pies and tarts for different occasions.  She helps at church functions and serves the dinner. She helps the church service by teaching Sunday school.  She uses a lot of energy to do stuff because she is older and she has leg troubles. Gramma helps her sister Auntie Beth by helping her with banking and by baking for her.
When people aren’t feeling well she prays for them a lot. When somebody is sick she gets a bunch of friends to help pray for healing. She is a very positive person. Gramma is not afraid of anything bad happening because God is always by her side. Gramma loves to play playdoh with me and my brother Samuel. She loves to play cards with us. We taught her a new game the last time she came over. She likes us to read stories to her, especially Treasury of Virtue. This book has lots of stories about courage, love, honesty, and generosity. These are some of the words I would use to describe my Gramma.
A hero isn’t someone with super powers,  but someone who helps a lot of people. I wish more people were like her. My Gramma should win The Unsung Hero Award because she helps a lot of people and she believes that good things can always happen.
