Father of Terry and Joanne Chambers of Listowel, and Clarke and Donna Chambers of Clifford. Grandfather of Jackie and Andrew Schagen, Michael and Maggie Chambers, Kyle Chambers, and Stacey Chambers, and great-grandfather of Violet Chambers and Ezra Chambers. Remembered by Beulah’s children John Day of Harriston, Crystal and Dorren Foerter of Harriston, and Brad and Heather Day of Harriston, her grandchildren Callise and Mitch Loos, Quinn Foerter and Brendan Gorecki, Chase Foerter, Owen Day and Roz Fidler, Grace Day and Collin Day, and her great-grandchildren Emmett and Colby Loos and Lincoln Day. Brother of Bill and Arlene Chambers, and Dovean and James McGinnis. Predeceased by his infant daughter Diane Chambers, his sister Bernice Theodorf, and his parents Robert and Ruby (Weber) Chambers. Grant was fortunate to live his whole life on one country block. He was born on the Chambers family farm and started working on the farm at a young age. When he married Marlene in 1956, they farmed not far from Hwy 9 on Ayton Road, where Clarke and Terry were both born. Then they moved to a farm on the west side of the Hwy. A few years later they moved their family back to the big family farm house. Grant lived there until he and Beulah moved to the new house built on the adjacent farm. In June of 2023, Grant and Beulah moved to Caressant Care, Harriston… still on Hwy 9. Through the years Grant and Marlene found joy while curling, card playing, and dancing. He and Beulah continued to enjoy cards with friends and attending dances for many years. He loved interacting with and teasing his and Beulah’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever he could. Grant was a faithful member of Harriston United Church and was always willing to help with activities there. He was known in the community as a kind, caring, thoughtful, and generous man. He will be missed by many.  Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. The funeral service was held from Harriston United Church on Tuesday, March 19 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to service.
