Chamberlain, Alice Marie (Gerrie nee Soehner); On October 7, 2013, in her 86th year, Alice Marie went from the presence of her family to the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Cherished wife of Harvey Gerrie (1986) and Henry Chamberlain (2004). Beloved mother of Paul and Lucinda Gerrie and Elizabeth and Ken Musselman, both of Elora. Dear grandmother and great grandmother of DorLisa Loney (CJ, Mikayla), Matthew and Charlotte Musselman (Lorna, Levi), Andrew and Courtney Musselman (Madison), MaryLee and Mike Follings, Katrina Musselman, Samuel Gerrie, Timothy and Kristine Gerrie (Alanna), Janice, David and Grace Gerrie. Predeceased by daughter-in-law, Hannah Gerrie (1990) and grandson-in-law Rob Loney (2008). Daughter of the late Herman (1977) and Dora (1982) Soehner of Salem. Loved sister of Tom (1992) and Audrey (2004) Soehner, Marshall and Rose (2012) Soehner of Waterloo, Ervin (2012) and Gaye Soehner of Grimsby, Dorothy (2004) and Orval (1996) Arndt, Carl and Evelyn (2009) Soehner of Fergus and Lila and Melvin Hill of Arthur. Survived by several nieces and nephews Alice was a long time co-owner of Gerrie’s Garden Centre of Colburne St, Elora and enjoyed spending her days in the gardens and reminiscing with the customers. She faithfully brought much joy to the residents of Wellington Terrance with the weekly hymn sing. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed quilting, knitting and making meals. But above all, her faith and her family were most important. Celebration of Alice’s life will take place at Central Pentecostal Church, 7674 Colburne St, Elora. Visitation Wednesday, October 9 from 7-9pm, and Thursday, October 10 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Friday October 11 from 12-1pm. Service will take place on Friday, October 11 at 1pm with interment to follow at Elora Cemetery.
