Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce our mom’s peaceful passing, to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, April 1, 2024, in her 94th year. Mom was presently a resident at Heritage River Retirement, Elora. She was predeceased by her husband Cliff in 2011. Loved mother of Betty (Tom) Schneider, Patricia (Ron) Pritchard and Paul (Mary) Cameron. Cherished Nammy to seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Will also be missed by sister-in-law Joan Cameron of Guelph and several nieces and nephews. Formerly of Guelph Hazel was employed at Hammonds Manufacturing and employed and retired from Imperial Tobacco Guelph. Friends will be received at Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00am. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment will take place West Montrose United Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com). As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, ON or Hospice Wellington, Guelph, ON or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Cards are available at the funeral home. A thank you for the doctors and nurses at Groves Memorial, Fergus, as well as St. Joseph’s Health Centre – Rehabilitation Program in Guelph. A tree will be planted in memory of Hazel J. Cameron in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
