CALDWELL, Forrest Harvey

CALDWELL, Forrest Harvey After a long dance with cancer, Forrest died at his heart’s home, Pasture Prime Farm, on Saturday Jan 27/18 at the age of 62. Surrounded by his much beloved sons, Graham and Alex, he slipped away peacefully. Left to grieve are sons, Graham and Alex, his sister Mary-Margaret and her partner, Jon, the Strachan Clan, Caldwell/Hill relatives and countless friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Harvey Caldwell. Forrest was a man who loved life and lived it well. All who met or knew him knew of his generosity and spirit. Many will remember the gatherings at Pasture Prime, his love of skiing, music, his talent as a musician, his love of gardening and the ‘Caldwell Macs’ and most especially, all who knew Forrest know of his pride in his ‘boys.’ They are his greatest accomplishment. It was Forrest’s wish to donate the gift of learning to students, emergency professionals and healthcare professionals studying human anatomy at the University of Guelph. A memorial service was held on February 7 at Harcourt Memorial Church in Guelph. Flowers gratefully declined. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at Bayshore Home Health and the many friends and family who supported us through this process. A tree will be planted in memory of Forrest H. Caldwell in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
