BUCZEK, Chester

In the early hours of Thursday, March 28, 2024, Chester Buczek passed away at Caressant Care in Fergus. He was in his 77th year and couldn’t believe that he had lived so long. He is survived by his brothers Joe Buczek and Ted Buczek and his sister in law, Marlene; predeceased by his sister, Helen Lenko and her husband, Bill; his sister in law, Barbara Buczek and his niece, Cindy Monkhouse. He was “Uncle Ches” to many nieces and nephews who brought him much joy. Chester loved living in Fergus and the many true friends that he encountered in the community; especially at his beloved church, St. Joseph’s. He was a lector and happy to lend a hand to help the Knights of Columbus or sell tickets for the CWL and always ready to do the cleanup. Many thanks to all the merchants in the surrounding community who befriended him and were compassionate to his needs and also the motorists who were watchful and patient as Chester navigated the streets and stop signs with his walker. Abounding gratitude to Jane Douglas, a childhood friend who knew how to “wrangle” him and make him toe the mark. GOD BLESS YOU!!! A Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00. Reception to follow at the Church Hall. Donations in Chester’s honour can be made to The Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul.
