Randy passed away tragically in a car accident on February 18, 2022, during a road trip with a friend. Randy was many things to many people; “the life of the party”, a gracious host, a helpful neighbour, a generous friend, a loving son, a dedicated brother, a kind uncle, a proud father, and an excited grandfather. Randy will be greatly missed by his children; Joseph, Jennilee (Matthew), Michael and grandchild Chase. Predeceased by his father Andy and sister in-law Peggy, survived by his mother Joan, brother Paul, nephew Mathew (Melissa), nieces Amber (Drew) and Angela (Adam), great nieces and nephews Wyatt, Ella, Harper and Ayson. Sadly missed by Uncle Bill (Judy), many aunts and uncles and many cousins. Randy was a staple member of the community of Elora. Randy was the embodiment of kindness, with a huge heart, and was willing to help out anyone in need. He was a social butterfly, always ready to have a conversation with everyone he saw and always made sure any guest in his home felt welcomed and well fed. He was also a “wheeler dealer” and could never resist trying to make a deal. Randy was a family man who loved his family more than anything else in the world and showed it in everything he did. In lieu of flowers, donations in Randy’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, or any charity of your choice, and are greatly appreciated by his family. Visitation will be held Thursday March 24, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church St. East, Elora. The funeral will be held on Friday March 25, 2022 at 11:30am at St. Boniface Church, 1355 Maryhill Road, Maryhill. Interment to follow at the Maryhill Cemetery.
