Beloved husband of Elaine Boyes (nee Nixon), loving father of Rod (Julie), Neil and the late Debbie (Jacquelyn) and Jeannie and the late Howard (Joe). Survived by his brother Lorry (Dorothy). Gerry will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his extended family and many friends. Gerry – fondly known by many as Uncle Gerry – touched the lives of those who grew up in Cheltenham and those he worked with at the Brampton Fire Department. After selling the family cottage on Silver Lake, Magnetawan, Ontario, Gerry and Elaine ventured to Nine Mile Marina in Torrance, Ontario and after making their mark, they truly retired years later when they moved into the Belwood/Fergus area. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to St. John’s United Church, 28 Queen Street, Belwood, Ontario N0B 1J0, Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice.
