The beloved son of the late Gordon and Agnes Boyd, much loved brother of Sharon Boyd and dear uncle, of Laurel May. He passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in his 90th year. Glenn was well taken care of and loved by the staff at St. Joseph’s Long Term Care for the past three years. Although deaf, almost since birth, his hard work, humour, intelligence, love and care of animals (horses, dogs and cattle) and crops, as well as his ability to fix aging equipment, all contributed to the success of the Boyd Family farm on the sixth of West Luther, near Gordonville. At the age of seventy, after the farm was sold, his mother, Agnes, and he moved to a house on the front of the farm, where he lived contently for sixteen years, until health issues prompted his move to St. Joseph-’s Health Centre. Always loved for his happy smile and gentle ways, he will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him. The family received friends at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gordonville on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 10:00 to 10:45. A Celebration of Glenn’s life was held in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11:00am. Following the service there was a period of fellowship and refreshments in the lower level of the Church. The interment will take place in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. As expressions of sympathy donations to the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gordonville would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur.
